New York Real Estate License Proctoring Information

The New York Real Estate Commission requires that all New York real estate course license exams be taken in person.  Click for a list of locations. At New York Real Estate School Online, there is NO CHARGE for proctoring!  Here are the course completion instructions:

• Complete your online course.
  You must complete all of the content within the course in order to receive credit. You will know you have completed the course when all components on the Main Menu page are listed as "Complete" in the Status column. If the Status column for a component is empty or reads "In Progress," you have not completed the course.  The regulator also mandates that all online real estate licensing education students spend a required amount of time in the course.  You will only be able to access the final section once you have fulfilled this required time, which you will be able to track on the Main Menu page.  You must have accessed the final section in order for the course to be considered complete.
• Schedule your NY course final exam with a proctor
  New York regulations require a proctored course final exam for your course. You will need to select where you would like to take your proctored exam from this list of locations. Once you have chosen a center location, please contact us to schedule your exam
• Complete your course final exam.
  Your proctor will mail us the answer sheet, along with all other signature-required forms. Your Exam Pack, which will be provided by the proctor, will include a pre-addressed and pre-paid postage return envelope to return your exam, answer sheet, and affidavit of compliance. If you would like to return your exam expeditiously, you will need to provide your proctor with your own pre-paid shipping label.  Once your exam has been received, it will be graded within three business days. You will need a 70% score to pass. NY regulations require an original certificate with an embossed seal.  Your certificate will be mailed to you.  We will also report your completion to the state.
• Schedule your state exam with eAccessNY.
  Once we have reported your completion, you may contact eAccessNY directly to schedule your licensing examination. You may access EAccessNY at http://www.dos.state.ny.us/lcns/realestate/index.html for further information.
• Begin taking your Exam Prep.
  If you did not purchase our Exam Prep Package, we highly recommend that you return to our website and check out our excellent Exam Prep products. With the help of these products, you are sure to pass the state exam on your first try!
• Once you have passed the New York state exam you must apply for licensure.
