  4. Q: Can I get a New York real estate license if I am not a citizen of the USA or NY resident?
    A: You must be either a US citizen or lawfully admitted alien, but you do NOT need to be a resident of New York.


  5. Q: Is New York Real Estate School Online an approved school to offer online courses?
    A: YES! We are an approved real estate school permitted to offer online courses for Sales Associates and CE. Our courses for New York are offered via Kaplan Real Estate School.


  6. Q: How long do I have to complete the course?
    A: You can access each course for up to a full year. In unusual circumstances, you may be able to get a course extension.


  7. Q: When do I receive my completion slip?
    A: According to the NY Real Estate Commission regulations, you must pass a paper-based final exam in person at an approved proctoring location. But don't worry about your proctored final exam, just go to a Kaplan test prep center at no additional charge for your New York Real Estate license final exam! Click for locations.

    After you complete the final exam, we will mail you your course certificate of completion and you will be eligible to take the New York State Exam.
